Patrick Ouziel is a Chinese American and French cinematographer based in Los Angeles. He studied political science at Yale University and received his MFA in cinematography from the American Film Institute Conservatory.
Patrick’s passion lies in narrative filmmaking, and he is grateful to have shot projects that have achieved recognition in major festivals. “Revenge Tour” won an Audience Award at the 2018 LA Film Festival, a Special Jury Recognition at SXSW in 2019, and was named one of the 10 Best Film and TV projects at SXSW 2019 by Indiewire.
Other narrative projects include “Flex,” which was awarded a Special Mention at Outfest 2020 and featured on Short of the Week and Vimeo Staff Picks and “Marvin’s Never Had Coffee Before,” which was an official selection at SXSW 2021 and Palm Springs ShortFest 2021. His work has also screened at TIFF and Tribeca. Most recently, “Relationship to Patient” was an official selection at SBIFF 2024 and Palm Springs ShortFest 2024. It was also featured on Short of the Week and Vimeo Staff Picks.
